The History of The Adrienne Arsht Center

Actually, the Center opened as the Carnival Center on October 5, 2006, with performers, politicians and movie stars attending, including Gloria Estefan, Jeb Bush, Andy Garcia and Bernadette Peters.

What is more, in 2016, AileyCamp Miami, run by the Arsht Center, received a 2016 National Arts and Humanities Youth Award Program at the White House.

And in 2022, the Arsht Center was nominated for a Latin Grammy for its collaboration with flamenco dancer Siudy Garrido on the documentary Bailaora.

  1. A variety of light food and beverage is available one hour before the show and during intermissions in the theater lobbies. The Adrienne Arsht Center has its own restaurant inside of the complex with a variety of snacks and drinks.
  2. Bottled water (in plastic bottles) purchased at the Arsht Center is permitted into the theater. No outside food or beverage will be allowed into the theaters.
  3. Smoking is not allowed inside the buildings. Smoking is only allowed in designated smoking areas outside.
  4. The Arsht Center may refuse entry to guests wearing offensive clothing or being barefoot. Attire resembling gang clothing may also be denied entry.

How do I get to the Ziff Ballet Opera House at the Adrienne Arsht Center to watch Beetlejuice musical?

You can get to the center by several options:

  1. You can use ride share services like Uber or Lyft. They drop off and pick up on Bayshore Drive between NE 13th Street and NE 14th Street.
  2. You can also take the Metrorail or Metromover. They run from 5:00 AM to midnight every day. The Metromover station for the Arsht Center is on NE 15th Street, near the Knight Concert Hall.
  3. If you prefer, you can travel by Brightline, a train service. It connects Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach, with plans for Orlando in the future. Brightline trains have free Wi-Fi, power outlets, and USB ports at every seat. You can buy food and drinks on board. Plus, they have racks for bikes and luggage, and you can bring your pets.

Drop-off Parking / Melody Tower – $28 (245 NE 14 St.)

Simply drop off your car at Melody Tower and pick it up there after the show.  Located near the Ziff Ballet Opera House, at the corner of NE 14th St. and NE 2nd Ave. A surcharge may apply to oversized vehicles. Cash and Credit accepted.
